My Fav 6 in 6 Months

My sweet baby girl is 6 months old today *cue the tears*. To celebrate her half birthday I’m going through my TOP 6 products that I LOVED for her first 6 months! Keep in mind I found these with my own research, I’m not saying they are the best for everyone, but they were the bees knees šŸ in my home.

1. Maxi-Cosi Infant Car Seat

I discovered Maxi-Cosi with my first baby while building my registry. You may think “oh these car seats are all the same, they are just different colors, they are just different brands, etc”. WRONG! They have so many different features. Of course safety is at the top of my list and with research I felt very comfortable with Maxi-Cosi as far as safety goes, but I suggest everyone do their own research. The feature I really love is the removable washer and dryer safe material. You can even buy extra ones to have on hand for a style change or a diaper blowout in my case. I have no idea why any baby product would not be washable, but they are out there, trust me I own them. Now to MY FAVORITE part of the Maxi-Cosi…. it’s insanely LIGHT. I can easily carry it in and out of a store WHILE holding my toddlers hand and maybe even a few “bullseye” bags if you know what I’m sayingšŸ˜‰. This might not sound important to you, and maybe carrying what feels like a garbage bag full of bowling balls around is your style, but seriously check the Maxi-Cosi car seat out. I have never ever thought twice about that purchase.

2. Snuggle Me Organic

The Snuggle Me was an impulse buy right before I gave birth. My toddler slept in the rock and play for almost 3 months when she was born because she wouldn’t lie flat. Night sleeping in the rock and play (while done by many) is not recommended and I was scrambling to find another option. The snuggle me is an all organic infant lounger. It calms the startle reflex in babies by cuddling them from both sides. As an enthusiast for getting no sleep I tried having her sleep directly on the bassinet mattress for a few nightsšŸ‘ŽšŸ» After I started using the Snuggle Me she slept for much longer stretches immediately. At 6 months we are still using it and I dread the day she gets too big. SLEEPING BABY=HAPPY MOMMA

3. Kabrita Goat Milk Formula

This formula is a recently new find, since baby girl had a reaction to dairy during our transition to formula. I recommend anyone considering using baby formula at all to look into it. It’s such a pure option compared to many formulas on the market. It’s more expensive than traditional formula, however we all spend money on latte’s, going out to eat, protein shakes, and whatever else, so I keep that in mind when purchasing food for my kids. Their little bodies deserve to eat healthy, organic, quality foods, and in my toddlers case way too many happy meals (the arches have defeated mešŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø).

4. Munchkin Shhh Soothing Sound Machine

Magic, pure magic. I had no idea with my first baby that making a shhh sound will calm them. She would literally cry for hours, so during my second baby prep I started looking for ways to calm the crying at night and during the “witching hour”. This time we didn’t experience as much crying at night, but when Camreigh was a week or two old I busted this little magic machine out and have never looked back. She would cry, I would turn it on and almost immediately she would stop. Even my husband was always amazed by this one. It’s also super small and light so I would sneak it in to her car seat if we were out and she got fussy.

5. SwaddleMe Pod

I own a ton of swaddles, too many swaddles. Arms in, arms out, zipper up, zipper down, unzip half, magic, muslin, printed, mesh, etc😭. The SwaddleMe Pod was new to me when I had Camreigh and it’s awesome, by far the best. It’s just what it says, it’s a cotton “pod” that just zips up around your baby, no wrapping. It’s fast and washable 2 things I love. It also has a bottom up zipper for diaper changes without taking the whole thing off.

6. Baby Jogger City Select

Best. Stroller. Ever. No question in my mind this is the stroller I should have had from the start. I can honestly say this because i have owned way too many strollers. Without detail I’ll share I’ve owned a Stokke, Joovy, Bugaboo Donkey, and finally my home run the City Select. For multiple children it’s a no brainer, but even with one, or if your planning to have more than one, it’s great to start there so in the long run you aren’t buying multiple strollers. It can hold two seats, a seat and a car seat, a car seat or stroller seat and a ride-on board, OR two seats and a ride on board. I often use it now as just the frame with my Maxi-Cosi Infant seat and it’s super fast that way as well. It takes up a little more room in the car if your taking both seats but not as much as other doubles I’ve owned.

Again, these opinions are from my own experiences and research. I always recommend each person do their own research on safety and use of each baby product they plan to purchase. Any questions please feel free to email or DM me on Instagram @nikispender
