The Spender’s love to entertain. We usually have friends and family over every weekend, especially during the Summer months for some fun, pool time, sun, and good food. I love to buy food ahead of time and stock up to I’m not always having to run out. Gordon Food Service Store makes it easy to buy bigger quantities without sacrificing quality and value.
Gordon Food Service has existed for over 120 years. They serve restaurants, schools, health facilities, camps, and store patrons. My first experience with Gordon Food Service was actually when I went to camp in 4th grade. We had the BEST ice cream and pretzels. I remember returning home and begging my parents to find a Gordon Food Service Store. Now almost 25 years later I love to shop there for my family.
When I was planning the most recent event I went with a BBQ theme since that is a summer favorite! Gordon Food Service Store has individual wrapped and frozen Baby Back Ribs that are easy to make and taste amazing. My BBQ haul list included:

I like to defrost my ribs in the refrigerator the day before. To prepare:
Remove the membrane [if you peel back the membrane slightly with a fork, pull using a paper towel, it’s so much easier!]
Place ribs in the crockpot on low for 4 hours
Transfer ribs to a pan and bake for 1hr at 350 degrees. I add the BBQ sauce for the last 10 minutes.
The other option is to put them on the grill [low setting] after removing them from the crock pot.
Both options are absolutely delicious! Another great option is to add a BBQ season rub before you put them in the crockpot. One of the reasons I love making ribs and BBQ is the various cooking and flavor options!
The sides I chose were easy to plate and set out. I love to buy pre-made sides when I can, this gives me more time to enjoy with friends and family.
The Gordon Choice Mini Eclairs are the most delicious dessert. We almost always have these in our freezer. They are a favorite among the adults and kiddos!
