It’s been on my mind since we moved in to upgrade the office space. We had an old desk I had redone, a dog cage, and not much else. With Stella in full day PreK this year I wanted to make the office a place she could also use to work on projects etc. As the girls get older I envisioned a space they could do homework, craft, and hang out after school.
I’m a huge fan of making a statement. I love a bold look even if it doesn’t seem so bold. Wallpaper, in my opinion, is the perfect, and one of the easiest ways to make a statement in any room. The office is the second room I’ve done with Rocky Mountain Decals Removable Wallpaper. This time was easier since I had experience working with it before. I’d say it took about 2-2.5 hours to complete the wall. The first piece is always the hardest because you want to measure and level it perfect.
The steps to hanging the Rocky Mountain Decals are:
- Gather your tools-
- Smoothing Tool
- Razor Blade
Make sure the wall is clean
Start with just part of the wallpaper peeled back, make sure the first piece is level at the top and sides.
Pull the backing off the paper as you work smoothing down the wall.
Trim the excess off last
Make sure to go over it a few times with the smoother.
The Rocky Mountain Decals Removable Wallpaper does not require additional paste since it’s ready to hang. It’s feels much like a wall decal in the form of wallpaper. [amazing right?!] I would 100% recommend the wallpaper to anyone looking to add an accent or make an easy but large change to a room. Now to figure out which wall is next!
